New Books at The Shelf

Just back from Gramedia Grand Indonesia Mall and got some new books at my bookshelf. I bought a complete series of Narnia, 7 books of the serial. And 3 of Sherlock Holmes.

Bought it with 30% cheaper, because of the bookstore’s 2nd anniversary. So, they gave the discount for every purchase of book.Totally, i spend Rp. 198.170,- for all of them, normally i have to spend Rp. 283.100, so i save Rp. 84.930,-. A nice deal for me, since i love reading.

For all the 10 books, i think i wont spending any penny for any book for a few months. I’ve got enough to fulfill my lonesome day with reading. Can’t wait to read whole of them.

A Big Gambling For The Career

Yesterday, in the middle of my lonesome time. A friend of mine asked me if is would like to work with him at his new really really startup company, and guess what, im his first employee. My mind and heart is struggling and im in totally confused situation. If the company success, if will be at the top-level management position, but if situation happened at the other way? yeah, you can guess it and do the answer of yourself.

Luckily I still tied in a contract with my current employer, at least until next year. Well, in the period of my professional contract, i will see the prospect of his company. If everything goes right and it became potential, i might have joined the team. But in case, things happened otherwise, well maybe i will stay with the current employer or moving my step away with the other. Nobody knows about the future, lets hope for the best, pray, do the best and let God do his way on you.

Culinary Experience: Dinner Treat at Mushroom Family Resto

Yesterday, i got a nice dinner treat from my best friend’s girl. She treated me at Mushroom Family Rest, located inside Pluit Village Mall.

This is my first at the Mushroom, take a look a while at the menu. Seen so many dishes at there, cant determined what is the exact number of the dishes, but for me everything looks so delicious and tickled my tounge.

We ordered many variations of menu, vegetables, fish, prawn, etc:

• Seafood Sapo Tofu
• Fried Fish with Yolk
• Fish Garlic Steam
• Mustard Green with Garlic
• Fried Shrimp with Mayonnaise
• Fried Crispy Shrimp
• Fried Noodle
• Asparagus Soup

Unfortunately, i forgot to take a pic of each dish, i just took a pic of the menu and the price list.

 

Well for the price, i can’t say they are cheap but no so expensive too, luckily once again i got it without any penny.

The taste is good and the price is in the middle range. If the price is affordable for you, you have to try the food at here, a nice place to spoil your tongue and give a little happiness to yourself. My recommendation if you spending your culinary experience at here, you have to try: Fried Fish with Yolk, Seafood Sapo Tofu and the Fried Shrimp with Mayonnaise.

Christmas is Arriving

Christmas is arriving soon, it’s about 1 week again, we’ll celebrate Christmas Day around the world. Sadly, this is the 2nd year of my christmas that the day is arriving so so for me, feels nothing special about it..

Wondering if time could round back into the 2007, when i still at RGK Service, we are busy at the time. Busy preparing everything, so the Christmas would be perfect. Now, everything has been changed, I’m no longer at RGK and i have no business in preparing the celebration.

Turn back into 2007. Still remember when me and 3 friends spending the night at the church, to buy a bucket of dry ice that will be used on the celebration day. We spending the night with happily ever after though we have to sleep without any bed, just a thin, very thin mattress as our sleeping bed. But once again, i’m so happy at the time, found my world.

Not only for ourselves celebration, we kinda busy attending our post’s Christmas Celebration, (somekind of branch), located at the various locations at Jakarta. I did for the Kelapa Gading, Green Garden and Bojong Indah posts. Small place of them, but we are happy, not because of the place we are happy, but because we are unite in the flag of GKI and Jesus Christ.

Hope this kind of feeling wont be stand for any longer… hope everything will be better and okay soon. Merry Christmas All, Jesus Bless Us All.

Blogging using BlogDesk

Not for so long, I had a little talk with my friend about blogging and ive just known that i can use third party software to do the blogging. Gosh, im so so the oldstyle, do the blog for about 7 years and knew nothing about this.

Well, i did googled about third party software, found several and i choose BlogDesk as my tool to do the blog. BlogDesk user interface is so simple, no need to be an advanced user to use it. So, just download the installer from www.blogdesk.org/en/index.htm. And here’s the screenshot from it.

3 main reasons why i use software instead of blogging online via web:

• No need to take any media uploading, just embed the media and press Submit/Publish/Upload or something sounds similar.
• No need to online every time i want to write a new post.
• Easy to manage Multiple Blogs.

Puncak Culinary: Lunch at Sinar Alam

After we spend a night at Puncak, now is the time to back to Jakarta. But before we depart to Jakarta, we have had a lunch first at Sinar Alam Restaurant.

Sinar Alam located at Jl. Raya Puncak Km.83, as a restaurant with Sundanese style, They provided various kind of foods. As you can see from the menu.

We ordered many kinds of foods, we ordered 6 variations of foods. Tempe Bacem, Fried Squid, Fried Fish, Grilled Fish, Kangkung, and Grilled Chicken.

Taste is good, as a sundanese food lover for me Sinar Alam has qualified to call themself as Sundanese restaurant. Not only for the taste, as you can see at the pic. The scenery of the restaurant is good too. They have fish pond and we have to eat in a lesehan style. As the other Sundenese style restaurants.

Honestly, i got my lunch without need to pay any penny, because i got a treat from my friend. But as i saw on the menu, the price is reasonable, for the taste they have served us, i can call it even. And for me, this restaurant very recommended if you love Sundanese Style food with the price is reasonable and relative affordable and the taste is good too. So i cant have any negative comment.

Puncak Culinary: Dinner at another satay restaurant

After we spend our lunch with satay, now once again, we have had the dinner at another satay restaurant. Not because we are the biggest fans of satay, the only reason is because we got our way to the restaurant too late, so our was primary destination already closed by the time we arrived. Wondering if we got the way a little early.

So, after had a short discussion among us, we decided to dine at Penggemar Sate Kiloan (PSK).  PSK restaurant, is one of famous satay restaurant at Puncak. People love to have their supper at this restaurant because the restaurant open for 24 hours. So at Puncak, if you got starving in the middle of night, don’t worry just came into their restaurant and ordered some.

For my dinner today, i ordered a portion of Chicken Tongseng. I know, the PSK is famous because of their satay (chicken and goat), but i thought i would love to try something else beside satay, my lunch menu. And also, because the weather is so cold, really cold, so you can see the mist came out from your mouth when you are breathing. So it will be nicer to have something warm.

The Tongseng came with a big portion, even for me. It filled a whole bowl. Not only the soup but the meat also served with a great quantity too. Well, at my first sight, the portion already got nice impression. I took my spoon and started to eat. At my first spoon, the tongseng is good in taste, the mixture of the ingredients is so suit for me. I got salty, sweet and tasty feeling at the same time. So, for the taste, i think very very recommended.

Time to taste the Goat Satay, we ordered one portion of it (12 pieces), to be eaten by together.  The satay appearance  is so tickling my tongue, i waited no longer to take one piece of it and ate it directly. The taste is good, much better than my previous satay experience. Taste is good but unfortunately the price is extremely high, Rp. 42.000 by 12 pieces, compare it with the normal price at around Rp. 15.000 – Rp. 20.000 by 10 pieces. Well, disappointed with the price and luckily not with the taste.

Foods are so tasteful, if you come to PSK restaurant i recommended the Tongseng, because of the taste and the reasonable price. Though the satay is good too if you are not seeing the price

Puncak Culinary: A late lunch at Sate Shinta

My watch point at 3.00 PM, and we still have nothing as our lunch. My friend suggested that we stop at any restaurant that good looking enough and had our lunch for a while.

Got attacked by great hungriness and strong willingness to eat, we  stopped at one restaurant,Sate Sintha with satay as its signature menu. I ordered Goat Fried Rice and half portion of Chicken Satay to fulfill my empty stomach.

Not for so long, about 15 minutes, my chicken satay already served. Have nothing in my mind except my hungriness, so i decided to grab one of it. Well, at my first bite, It’s no bad at all but this satay has no specialty on it. The taste is so so.

In the middle of my bite, my Fried Rice is served. So now i can have my full meals, sadly i missed to take the picture of the fried rice. The Fried rice served with a small portion of rice and meat, oh, the portion is so small, i think it’ll vanished in my throat before it got into my stomach,

For the Fried Rice i spend Rp. 19.000,- and half portion of chicken satay (5 pieces)  Rp. 12.500,-  . Not so expensive for culinary, still at reasonable area but i got nothing special from the tastes and a little disappointed actually, dont know how it will works on you, but i have no recommendation at this restaurant, at least if you looking for something unique or tasteful.

Puncak Culinary: Breakfast at Cimory

It’s about 2-3 days ago, me and my closest friends, go to the puncak to enjoying the weekend at one  of my friend’s villa. We spend so much good time at there, laughing, singing, and joking around us. Well i want to share my culinary experiences at there.

I will post all of them in different posts, started from this one.

Departing from Jakarta at around 7.00 AM, no time to do the breakfast, so we decided to have our  breakfast at Cimory at Puncak area, they are so famous because of their dairy products:  Milk, ice cream, yoghurt, and many more.

Not only their dairy product, they have western style restaurant too. So we ordered our breakfast at there. Took a little time at the menu and sadly they are in “breakfast time” so they wont served us with the main course , only the breakfast.

They served several dishes for the breakfast, such as: Hotdog, Chicken porridge and Omellete. The menu is not taking my time longly since i’ve choose Long Hotdog and Fresh Milk as my meal.

The taste of Long Hotdog is good, though not the best. The size of the sausage is as they named it Long. Don’t know how long  in the exact number, but it satisfied enough in taste and portion.

Well, the quality of taste and the size of portion is good enough to handle my big appetite, it enough for breakfast. I have to spend Rp. 28.000 for the Hotdog and Rp. 6.000 for the milk + 10% tax. The hotdog price is a little overpriced for my thin wallet though the milk is in my reasonable price area.

My breakfast at cimory was satisfying enough though i’ve to pay more expensive, but it’s okay. The service quality and scenery were good too, so i think those were included in the price list implicitly :p.
